How to make Perfectly Fried Pickles
Ingredients
16 ounces, Dill Pickle Chips
½ cup Flour, self-rising
¼ cup Corn Starch
¼ tsp Cayenne pepper
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 cup Cold Beer
1 quart Vegetable Oil
Instructions
Place the sliced pickles on the paper towels and dry each side
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl, then whisk in the beer
Place the batter in the refrigerator while the oil heats up
Heat 2 inches of oil in the Dutch oven until the temperature reaches 375*
Once the oil is heated, fry the pickles in batches
Place 8 pickles into the bowl with the batter, as you remove them one by one, wipe excess batter by using the rim of the bowl
Use a spider strainer to lower the pickles into the heard oil
Flip the pickles over to fry both sides
Using the Spider strainer, remove the pickles and lay them flat on a paper towel lined tray
Serve with your choice of dipping sauce
