Jalapeño Ranch Vegetable Cream Cheese Spread

Creamy Base

8 ounces / 225 g cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 small garlic clove, finely minced

1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt, or to taste

Jalapeño and Vegetables

1 fresh jalapeño, finely minced

1/4 cup finely diced red bell pepper

1/4 cup finely grated carrot

2 tablespoons finely diced cucumber

2 tablespoons finely diced green onion

2 tablespoons finely diced celery

1 tablespoon finely diced red onion

Fresh Herbs

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives

Finishing Garnish

1 tablespoon finely sliced green onion

A small pinch of ranch seasoning

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Thin jalapeño slices, optional

Instructions

1. Prepare the Vegetables

Wash all vegetables thoroughly and dry them well.

Finely dice the red bell pepper, cucumber, green onion, celery, and red onion.

Finely grate the carrot.

Keep all the vegetables chopped very small so they blend evenly into the cream cheese spread and create a smooth, easy-to-scoop texture.

2. Prepare the Jalapeño

Slice the jalapeño in half lengthwise.

Remove the seeds and white membrane for a milder flavor.

For a spicier spread, leave some of the seeds or membrane intact.

Finely mince the jalapeño so the heat is evenly spread throughout the mixture.

3. Remove Extra Moisture

Place the diced cucumber and grated carrot on paper towels.

Gently press them to remove excess liquid.

This helps keep the spread thick, creamy, and not watery.

4. Make the Ranch Cream Cheese Base

Add the softened cream cheese, sour cream or Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, ranch seasoning, black pepper, and sea salt to a medium mixing bowl.

Beat or stir until the mixture becomes smooth, creamy, and well combined.

If the cream cheese is too firm, let it sit at room temperature a little longer before mixing.

5. Add the Fresh Herbs

Add the chopped parsley, dill, and chives to the cream cheese base.

Gently fold them in until evenly mixed.

The herbs add freshness and brighten the ranch flavor.

6. Fold in the Vegetables

Add the minced jalapeño, diced red bell pepper, grated carrot, diced cucumber, green onion, celery, and red onion.

Fold everything together gently until the vegetables are evenly distributed.

Avoid overmixing so the vegetables keep a little crunch and texture.

7. Taste and Adjust

Taste the spread and adjust the flavor as needed.

For more heat, add extra minced jalapeño or a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes.

For more tanginess, stir in a little more lemon juice.

For a stronger ranch flavor, add a small extra pinch of ranch seasoning.

8. Chill the Spread

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

For the best flavor, chill for 2 to 3 hours so the ranch seasoning, garlic, jalapeño, and herbs have time to blend into the creamy base.

9. Garnish and Serve

Transfer the chilled spread to a serving bowl.

Top with sliced green onion, a light sprinkle of ranch seasoning, freshly cracked black pepper, and thin jalapeño slices if desired.

Serve cold with bagels, toast, crackers, crostini, sandwiches, wraps, or fresh vegetables.
