Tex-Mex Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

1 packet taco seasoning

1 small green cabbage, chopped into 1-inch pieces

1 carrot, peeled and sliced

1 (14.5-ounce) can beef broth

2 (14.5-ounce) cans stewed tomatoes

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

3 cups water

Instructions

Step 1:

Brown ground beef in a large dutch oven. If there is a lot of grease, drain some of it off.

Step 2:

Add onion and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 3:

Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer.

Step 4:

Simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed.
