Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls
Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls
Ingredients:
Crescent roll dough 2 cans (8 ounces each)
Pork sausage crumbles ~20 ounces
Cream cheese 8 ounces
Instructions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it’s browned and no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease to keep the filling rich but not oily.
Mix with Cream Cheese
Reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese directly into the warm sausage. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and evenly blended. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Prepare the Crescent Base
Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pinching the seams together to create a smooth base layer.
Add the Filling
Spread the warm sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, reaching all the corners for even coverage.
Add the Top Layer
Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully lay it over the filling. Gently stretch and press the edges together to seal.
Bake to Golden Perfection
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the top layer is puffed and golden brown.
Rest and Serve
Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Cut into squares and serve warm — creamy, savory, and irresistibly flaky.
