Fried Cabbage with Smoked Sausage

Ingredients

1 large white onion, sliced into rings

1 pound Kielbasa or Sausage cut into 1 inch slices

1 small to medium head of cabbage cut into thin strips or chopped into bite sized pieces

1 tbsp Olive Oil

2 tbsp butter, unsalted

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1:

In a large skillet, add the Olive oil and the onion and kielbasa.

Saute these ingredients for 10 minutes, stirring often so as not to brown too darkly

Step 2:

Add in the butter and let it melt, then add in the cabbage

Lower the heat and place a cover on the skillet.

Step 3:

Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently, for 25 to 30 minutes. Until the cabbage has softened

Add the salt and pepper to taste

Step 4:
