Simple And Easy Beef Broccoli

Ingredients:

1 pound flank steak or sirloin steak

2 tbsp Olive Oil

16 ounces of cut broccoli

2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Sauce

1 tsp freshly grated ginger

2 tsp grated garlic

½ cup hot water

3 tbsp brown sugar

6 tbsp Soy Sauce

1 ½ tbsp cornstarch

2 tbsp Sesame Oil

¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions:

Cook the rice first. Then it will be ready when you are ready to eat.

Freeze the steak for approximately 30 minutes. This makes it easier to slice

Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl and stir well until the sugar dissolves

Place a large skillet on the stove and add in 1 tbsp oil

Toss in the broccoli florets and saute for 5 minutes, stirring frequently

Cook broccoli with a pan cover partially covering the pan.

Check for tenderness for the broccoli.

Increase the heat to a higher temp and add 1 tbsp oil

Add the beef in a single layer and cook approximately 2 minutes on each side.

Continue cooking until all the meat is cooked.

Add the sauce into the pan and cook, it will thicken as it cooks.

Add in the broccoli and stir. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little water until you get desired consistency.
