Italian Beef Pasta Skillet
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
½ medium onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup uncooked macaroni noodles
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1½ cups beef broth
¼ cup Tastefully Simple® Mama Mia Marinara Sauce Mix
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Cook the beef and vegetables
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and red bell pepper. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the vegetables are softened. Drain off any excess fat, then return the skillet to the stovetop.
Add the sauce and pasta
Stir in the tomato sauce, uncooked macaroni noodles, tomato paste, garlic salt, beef broth, and Marinara Sauce Mix. Mix well to combine.
Simmer until pasta is tender
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked through.
Add the cheese
Stir the pasta mixture, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Cover again and let it sit for a few minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
Serve
Spoon into bowls or plates and enjoy warm.
