Grandma’s Christmas Candy
Grandma’s Christmas Candy
Ingredients
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 (12-ounce) bag white chocolate chips
1 (10-ounce) bag mini marshmallows
1 cup chopped red and green gumdrops
(or any festive chewy candy of your choice)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pan
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
Lightly grease the parchment and set the dish aside.
2. Melt the Base Mixture
Place the butter, white chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows in a large microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave for 1 minute, then stir with a greased spatula.
Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each round, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
3. Add the Candy
Let the mixture cool for about 1 minute so the gumdrops don’t melt.
Gently fold in the chopped red and green candies until evenly distributed.
4. Press Into the Pan
Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Use a spatula to press it firmly into an even, flat layer.
5. Chill Until Set
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until fully set.
6. Cut and Store
Lift the chilled candy out of the dish using the parchment overhang.
Remove the paper and slice the candy into small bite-sized squares.
Store in an airtight container to keep it fresh and chewy.
