Texas Fudge

Ingredients

2 large eggs

1 can evaporated milk, 5 ounces

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese

1 can diced green chiles, 4 ounces, drained

Sliced jalapeños, for topping

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Lightly grease a 7×11-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray, then set it aside.

In a medium mixing bowl, add the eggs, evaporated milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and kosher salt.

Whisk everything together until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

Add the all-purpose flour and continue whisking until no lumps remain.

Stir in the grated sharp cheddar cheese, grated Monterey Jack cheese, and drained diced green chiles.

Mix until the cheese and chiles are evenly combined with the egg mixture.

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Arrange sliced jalapeños over the top.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set.

Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Enjoy warm.
