Cheesy Jalapeño Popper Sausage Balls
Cheesy Jalapeño Popper Sausage Balls
Ingredients:
1 pound uncooked spicy sausage
1 cup cooked bacon, finely chopped (from about 1 pound raw bacon)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened at room temperature
1 can (4 oz) diced jalapeños with juices included
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1½ cups Bisquick baking mix
2 cups shredded Mexican-style cheese blend
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl or a stand mixer with a dough hook, combine the uncooked sausage, chopped bacon, softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños with their liquid, garlic powder, Bisquick mix, and shredded cheese.
Mix until the ingredients are evenly combined and the mixture becomes thick and cohesive.
Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and fully cooked.
Let them cool slightly and serve warm for the best taste and texture.
