Chicken Alfredo Lasagna

Ingredients

3 cups of cooked, shredded chicken

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves minced garlic

10 ounces fresh baby spinach

4 cups of heavy cream

15 lasagna noodles (precooked or oven ready)

1 ½ tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated finely

15 ounces of ricotta cheese

3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

Step 1:

Put 2 tbsp of unsalted butter in a skillet heated on medium high, add in the onion and garlic.

Saute until translucent.

Add the spinach and stir until the spinach wilts

Step 2:

Add the 4 cups of heavy cream, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, the ricotta cheese and the chicken

When the cream comes to a slight simmering stage, remove the pan from the heat, stir well and set to the side.

Step 3:

In the bottom of a sprayed 9 x 13 baking pan, spoon a layer of the sauce mix and top with a layer of the noodles, spread some filling mix on that and sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese.

Repeat until you are out of the filling mix, or you can no longer add another layer in the pan.

Step 4:

Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 350* oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

Remove the foil and let sit under the low broil setting for two minutes to brown the top cheese.

Enjoy!

Layering Technique: The layering technique used in this recipe ensures even distribution of ingredients throughout the lasagna. Starting with a layer of sauce at the bottom of the baking pan helps prevent sticking and ensures moisture throughout the dish.
