Here is a husband who kept his vow and cared for his sick wife as he did when she was healthy.
In 1958, Andy Fierlit went to a church dance in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Seeing Donna for the first time was like falling in love with the young man. He asked Donna for gum at the start of the rest of their life together, and it was the first step in their relationship.
After being high school sweethearts, the couple married and became husband and wife in 1966. They had four children after many happy years together. They also have twelve grandchildren.
Donna’s brain aneurysm appeared at the age of 45. She got a migraine at a Christmas party and went to bed; the next day, she had a life-changing aneurysm. Doctors urged Andy to place his mother in a nursing home after the aneurysm partially paralyzed her to reduce the load on his family.

Andy, her husband, is still madly in love with her.
Yes, it’s difficult, but Andy says, “I’ve loved Donna since the day we met, and I can’t fathom doing anything else.” The pair has now travelled to all seven continents, achieving a lifetime dream of theirs to explore the world together.
“Donna is immobile and has short-term memory impairments, but she can give you her father’s licence plate from 1955 and is a lot of fun to travel with,” Andy continues. We’ve always created lemonade out of lemons because of our undying love for one another.
According to updates on their daughter Allison Fierlit Peters’ Facebook profile, Andy Fierlit died in 2019, and Donna died the following year, in 2020.
They demonstrated that marital vows should be honored and were a great motivation source.
