Chicken Fried Steak Baked With Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients

6-4 ounce cube steaks

1 cup flour, all purpose

½ tsp seasoned salt

½ tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp black pepper

⅔ cup finely diced onion

1 cup vegetable oil for frying

2-4.5 ounce cans sliced mushrooms

1 can Cream of Chicken Soup

½ can water or milk, as desired, if you want creamier, use the milk

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350*, Grease a 9×13 baking pan

In a shallow bowl add in the flour

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium high heat

Dredge the cube steaks in the flour and carefully place them in the hot oil

Cook the steaks for 5 to 8 minutes, flipping one time, they should be light golden and crispy

Place three of the cube steaks in the bottom of the baking dish

Sprinkle the cube steaks with the seasoning salt, pepper, garlic powder and salt

Sprinkle with ⅓ cup of the finely diced onion

Layer the three remaining cube steaks, sprinkle those with seasoning

Pour the soup into a bowl and add the water or milk

Add the mushrooms and pour the mix over the top of the top of the cube steaks

Cover and bake for 30 minutes, reduce the heat and bake for another 30 to 45 minutes

When the onions are soft and the soup is bubbly, the Chicken Fried Steaks are done.
