Cheesy Baked Cabbage Steaks
Ingredients
1 large head green cabbage, outer leaves removed, trimmed, and sliced into 1-inch-thick “steaks”
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, onion powder, dried thyme, 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Place the cabbage steaks in a single layer on a baking sheet. Brush both sides generously with the olive oil mixture.
Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and edges are golden.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese and the remaining Parmesan.
Return to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
Serve warm and enjoy.
