Cream Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Doritos

Ingredients

1 (9.75-ounce) bag of Doritos, any variety you like

8 ounces cream cheese, brought to room temperature

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

6 strips bacon, cooked until crisp and finely crumbled

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Bacon:

Cook the bacon strips until crispy using your preferred method (skillet, oven, or microwave). Transfer to paper towels to drain, allow to cool, then crumble into small pieces.

Make the Filling:

In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until the mixture is creamy and well combined. If the mixture is too firm, microwave it for a few seconds to soften.

Prepare the Doritos:

Sort through the bag to find the largest whole Dorito chips—aim for 24 to 30. Carefully open one edge of each chip to create a small pocket, being gentle to avoid cracking.

Stuff the Chips:

Using a piping bag or small spoon, fill each Dorito pocket with 1–2 teaspoons of the cream cheese mixture. Be gentle not to overstuff or break the chips.

Chill:

Arrange the filled Doritos in a single layer on a tray or plate. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to help the filling firm up and the flavors meld.

Serve:

Just before serving, sprinkle the stuffed chips with chopped fresh chives if desired. Enjoy them chilled or at room temperature, but serve promptly for best texture.
