Baked Cheesy Tortellini

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef, lean

2-9 ounce packages of refrigerated cheese stuffed tortellini

1 tbsp Olive Oil

½ medium sized yellow onion, diced

4 garlic cloves, freshly minced

3 cups Marinara sauce or your favorite spaghetti sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup Cheddar Cheese, freshly shredded

1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, freshly shredded

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375*

Saute the diced onion lightly in the Olive Oil, then add the ground beef to the skillet

Brown the ground beef until thoroughly cooked

Add in the minced garlic and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes

Drain any excess fat from the skillet

Place the ground beef mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish

Add in the cheese Tortellini and the marinara sauce

Gently stir all together and spoon into an even layer

Sprinkle the shredded Cheese on top

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and place in the oven.

Place into the oven and bake for 35 to 45 minutes

Once done, remove the foil and broil for 1 to 2 minutes to brown the cheese until it is bubbly
